I have eyed Amelia forever and wondered if it would be cute on my figure or if I would ever sew a fully lined jacket, so I was really happy to help with re-testing the pattern (full disclosure I got the pattern for free in exchange for sewing this one). After having made it I'm really happy with my new jacket.

Inspiration option, which if I am not brave enough to make for myself I will totally make for my 6 year old sequin loving daughter. (from Nordstroms).
I have given up fabric shopping for two months (joined @heatherandthepugs fabric fast on instagram), so I had to pick fabric for the jacket from my stash. I used a silky medium weight polyester blend from Joann's Fabrics that I originally bought to sew a Belle Skirt and then worried it was to heavy. I also had a super stretchy rib knit in blue and some blue polyester lining all in my stash. The only thing I had to buy was the zipper. I bought a 24" separating zipper from Joann's and reduced the length by pulling out zipper teeth that are at the top of the jacket (you need the zipper stops to be even with the jacket and the collar intersection). If you've never done it, I hadn't, it is an oddly satisfying task to clip off the metal teeth.
Interior pictures (sorry for the bad light I took them in the evening), but you can see it has a really nice finish.
Happy Sewing!
